Privacy Statement

 

Autonoetonaut strongly rejects surveillance capitalism of any form, and while it's impossible to assure complete privacy online, we do endeavor to use tools and platforms that largely or completely respect your privacy. To that end, this site is built using Grav CMS, a flat-file CMS that, out of the box, does nothing to track you - and we've added nothing to extend on that. There are no cookies, and the only JavaScript used is for managing the display elements of the site.

 

We have what will be a mirror site (a "capsule") in Geminispace. Geminispace uses a protocol that couldn't track you, even if someone running the capsule wanted to. A couple of primers on Geminispace can be found here and here. Our capsule is here. Bear in mind, accessing Geminispace requires its own, purpose-built browser capable of interpreting the gemini protocol. Langrange seems to be the most popular - and rightly so.

 

We also use only privacy-respecting Social Media. For now, this means Mastodon and Bluesky - though it's difficult to see how Bluesky will ever make any money without eventually collecting and selling your data. If we see evidence of that, we'll drop it. Using Bluesky is pretty straightforward - like other, more popular platforms, however Mastodon is a bit different. Here's a primer.

 

In the end, we don't want to know anything about you except that which you might share explicitly on our socials.
